Program Details

  • The program will take place from July 1 to July 31, 2026, Thursday-Saturday 10am -4pm

  • The program will be hosted at the Children's Museum of Montgomery, specifically in the MAP360 Gallery, located at 1 Court Square, Suite 100, Montgomery, AL. This location is easily accessible and provides a dynamic setting for learning and exploration.

Paid Stipend

Participants can earn up to $250 upon successful completion of the program, offering a financial incentive along with invaluable experience.

Who Should Apply?

This program is designed for students ages 16–24 who have a passion for learning and are interested in the following fields:

  • Education: Those who aspire to become educators or work in educational settings will find this experience particularly beneficial.

  • Museums: Individuals interested in museum work, curation, or cultural preservation will gain insights into the operations of a children's museum.

  • Arts & Culture: Creative minds who want to promote and engage with the arts and cultural initiatives are encouraged to apply.

  • STEAM: Students with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics will have the opportunity to explore interdisciplinary approaches to learning.

  • Event Planning: Those looking to develop skills in organizing and executing events will find practical experience in this role.

  • Marketing: Aspiring marketers can learn about effective communication strategies and audience engagement in a museum setting.

  • Community Leadership: Young leaders eager to make a difference in their communities will gain hands-on experience in leadership and service.

Available Roles

Visitor Experience Ambassador: In this role, you will welcome guests, assist families, support exhibits and events, and gain essential skills in customer service and hospitality, which are crucial for any career path.

STEAM Education Ambassador: As a STEAM Education Ambassador, you will facilitate hands-on activities, assist with STEM projects, support workshops and camps, and develop valuable teaching and leadership skills that will serve you well in future endeavors.

Media & Events Ambassador: In this position, you will capture photos and videos, create engaging social media content, assist with marketing campaigns, and support special events, allowing you to hone your creative and technical skills. What You Will Receive
