POW! Unleash your inner Superhero at the 5th annual STREAM Faire in Montgomery

Get ready for a day packed with creativity, learning, and fun as Montgomery’s most imaginative event returns. On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Children’s Museum of Montgomery will host the 5th Annual STREAM Faire at 1 Court Square from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This year’s theme, Comic Books & Superheroes, invites families to explore the exciting worlds of science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and mathematics through hands-on activities that celebrate the power of imagination and knowledge.

What is the STREAM Faire?

STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. This free event brings these subjects to life with interactive experiences designed for children and their families. The STREAM Faire is more than just a festival; it’s a chance for kids to see themselves as heroes in their own stories by engaging with activities that spark curiosity and build skills.

Families attending can expect:

  • Superhero STEM Challenges that encourage problem-solving and teamwork

  • Comic Creation & Literacy Stations where kids can craft their own stories and characters

  • Engineering & Rocket Activities that demonstrate principles of physics and design

  • Art & Storytelling Zones to inspire creativity and expression

  • Free Student Meals to keep everyone energized

  • STREAM Take-Home Kits so learning continues beyond the event

This event is designed to serve over 400 Montgomery students and families, creating a welcoming space where community members connect and children discover new interests.

It’s a chance for families to spend quality time together while exploring subjects that often feel intimidating in school. The superhero theme adds an extra layer of excitement, encouraging kids to think of themselves as capable and creative problem solvers.

By participating in the STEM and arts activities, children gain hands-on experience that supports their learning and builds confidence. The event also introduces them to potential career paths in science and technology fields, helping to plant seeds for future success.

Families are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superheroes, adding to the festive atmosphere and making the day even more memorable.

Volunteer and Become a STREAM Hero

A successful event like the STREAM Faire depends on community support. Volunteers play a vital role by assisting with activities and helping children navigate the different stations. Volunteer shifts are available throughout the day, and all volunteers receive training and themed badges to wear during the event.

Volunteering offers a meaningful way to contribute to Montgomery’s future innovators and connect with families in the community. If you want to help, sign up at www.cmsquared.org/volunteer.

Building Community Through Creativity and Learning

The STREAM Faire is more than a day of fun. It’s a community event that brings families together to celebrate learning and creativity. By focusing on comics and superheroes, the event taps into children’s natural interests and uses them as a gateway to explore STEM and arts subjects.

This approach helps children see that science and technology are not just subjects in school but tools they can use to tell stories, solve problems, and make a difference. The event also strengthens community ties by providing a space where families, educators, and volunteers collaborate to support children’s growth.
