A Grandmother's Take on CM2

The other day, I dropped a jar of spaghetti sauce on the kitchen floor. How does that relate? Well, when I went out to my car a little later, I saw the (CM)2 on my bumper and was reminded of one short word I'd said when the sauce hit the tile. I haven't needed a reminder since.

Operating RoomStress in the Operating Room!
I work as an anesthesiologist in the operating room most of the time. It is not infrequent, especially in the stress of a difficult operation to hear various expletives used. For me, some are more bearable than others, and reference to deity in a profane sense is worst in my mind. One particular day the primary surgeon was having difficulty and began using this very offensive type of profanity, and I determined to speak to him, although I felt it would be better at a less stressful time. Consequently, several days later I took occasion to see him at his office and expressed first my own belief in God and how profanity using His name was very troubling to me. He recognized the offense, apologized and stated he would try to be more careful in the future. He hasn't been perfect, but it has been much better, and I know when he is tempted to use foul language he is mindful of those he would offend.
